Annie Mae Davis

Annie Mae Davis was born on June 26, 1946, to the late Frank and Lena Davis. She was raised in Hawkins, Texas, where she attended the Hawkins Public School System and graduated from Hawkins High School.

Annie was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit. She worked as a cook at Petty’s Café in Hawkins, Texas, where she served many with kindness and dedication. She also worked at Hawkins Care Center, faithfully caring for others and making a difference in the lives of those she served.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings: Freddie Curlin, Calvin Davis Sr., Richard Davis, James Davis, and Lucinda Browning.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved children, Michael Miller and Veronica Davis; six grandchildren; three siblings, George Simpson (Jan) of Phoenix, Arizona, Frankie Gant of Dallas, Texas, and Doris Ross of Dallas, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Annie's life was a testament to hard work, love for family, and service to others. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
