Rebecca Renea (Becky) Whitmore

Rebecca “Becky” Whitmore of Commerce, Texas, was born to Glenda Hodges and
Jodie Shelton on September 21, 1978. From a young age, she displayed a vibrant spirit,
a kind heart and an ability to bring joy, fun, and laughter around her.
She accepted Christ at an early age attended Mt Moriah Baptist Church. Becky
graduated from Commerce High School in 1997. And recently begin attending
Beginners Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Rebecca passed peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her mother Glenda Hodges, and stepfather Floyd Hodges,
daughter Trinity Thomas, and son Ashton Baker.
Becky leaves behind a legacy of love, fun, and laughter. She is survived by her
daughter Ashlie Sue Offord, sisters; Sherry Reynolds Johnson(Quincey), Kendra
Hodges, Jackie Hunter(Arthur), Joni Sakyi(Frank), brothers; Jodie Shelton Jr(Felicia)
Godmother; Emma Monroe, Goddaughter; Eboni Wilson, Godson; Cambre Hall, and
T’Johnn Brown, God granddaughter; Chloe Hall, special friends; Tosha Morgan and
Dresha Harrison, nephews; Jaqaylon Bradley and Tabias Miles, and a host of other
nephews, nieces, friends and family.
