Robert James Berry Pitts was born on March 3, 1949 to Mildred Pitts Timmons and Seward Hosey Timmons in Sulphur Springs Texas. He is the oldest of eleven children. He left home at an early age for more opportunities and that is when he joined the United States Army at the age of 19. Mr. Pitts was a very private man and decided to come back home to Sulphur Springs in 2009. Mr. Robert is known and loved by many. He later rededicated his life to Christ at Morning Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Robert departed on December 29,2024 at Christian Mother Francis.
He leaves behind his loving sisters Shirley Askew, Lela Hill and husband Edward Hill, Elizabeth Barrett, Janice Timmons, Laura Timmons. Brother Johnny Timmons and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Seward Timmons, Aunt Lora Gene Pitts, Brothers Seward Timmons Jr., Anthony Ray Timmons, Charles (Killa) Timmons, Jimmy (T) Timmons, and Sister Barbara Timmons Brown.
