Obituary

Vanessa Carol Kelly, age 62 of Dallas, Texas was born August 1, 1960 in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of John Willie Jackson and Lela Verdie-Jackson.

Vanessa graduated from David W Carter High School in 1979.  Vanessa lived a "free spirited" life.  She enjoyed watching "Greenleaf" and "Criminal minds" on Netflix.  She loved chicken from Williams Chicken and hamburgers.  As long as she had her coffee every morning, her day would be complete!  Vanessa loved to dance and make others around her laugh.  She enjoyed attending church and being "momma" as everyone called her in South Dallas and her favorite "stomping grounds" Jim Miller and Buckner Blvd.  Ms. Kelly passed away Wednesday November 23, 2022, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX.

She leaves her memories daughter, Letha Jackson of Dallas, TX; three brothers Dennis Moore, Timothy Moore (Marian) of Arlington, TX, William Moore Jr (Latrisha) of Sulphur Springs, TX and Chaka Kelly of Dallas, TX. A special niece and nephew who cared for her over 10 years, Donnie and LaShan Taylor of Dallas, TX.
